Ryegate Nubbinette, 1984-Dec. 21 2009

This morning I lost Snubbers. Her photo is at the top of this blog.
my sagebeasties.blogspot.com blog, link at the side, has a story about her & a photo celebration of her life.
I am going to take a break from this blog for a week or so as I am too sad to post.

  1. Oh, I'm so sorry, OldMorgans/SageBeasties:(
    25 years she was loved.

What a wonderful life you gave her!
She was one beautiful, lucky mare.
Do you still have contact with her progeny?

Snubbers Stories, when you're able, would help with the grief, not very much, no. I know.

    What a gorgeous mare...
She looked like a Morgan is supposed to look, to me, anyway.

    To Enthusiasm!
and amazing horse owners, like you.

  2. I remember Snubbers -- what a sweet old mare.

I understand taking a break. I've done it myself when things have gotten too rough.

Husband and I won't be able to visit your store on this visit... we are way overcommited with family obligations. Maybe this summer...

  3. I'm so sorry for your loss...
She was a lucky girl to have such a great mom to care for her. There will never be another like her, but you'll meet again. My morgan mare passed on 10 years ago and I still miss her every day (Bald Mt Sweet Dream- I've been meaning to send you some photos). This might sound weird but I have reuniions with her in my dreams that are very intense and when I wake up I really do feel like I was with her. Losing a family member is devistating, hang in there. many of us know what you are going through. Remember the good times and enjoy that you got to spend time with a special being.
