Village View High Shadows

I own a 30 year old dark bay Morgan, Village View High Shadows, or Barney, as he is more commonly known. He is sired by Merry Cavalier, and Elm High Time, both originally of Nova Scotia Canada. His granddam, Windcrest May Time, was a U S National Champion Park Mare, and his grandsire, Elm Hill High Hat, was a Park Driving Champion. He was purchased by his owner as a 4 year old, and 26 years of enjoyment has followed of pleasure riding and driving, sleigh riding, swimming, parades, and over night trail rides. He has participated in a Combined Driving competition held by the Hampton Driving Club. He has also been shown side saddle in parade classes in the Nova Scotia Morgan Show and was ridden side saddle in the July 1 Horse Parade in Hampton in 1984.
I still ride him once or twice a month in the woods trails he loves—not great distances and not at great speeds—but very high in quality. Our partnership has grown in depth and equal trust, and his ears are pricked on the trails in anticipation like always. Here is a recent photo of him.
