Jonathan was sold the following year to folks who had horses but not Morgans. They kept him entire and later bought some mares to breed to him. Then they outgrew their property in So. Calif. and moved to Montana with their Morgan herd. Jonathan became their prime riding horse as well as driving and going on hunts in the Montana mountains.
