Roberts was a premier California breeder in the 1940s & 1950s. He lived way down in the south east part of San Diego Co. His Morgans became foundation stock for many other breeders in Calif. and also a group of his mares traveled all the way to Vermont to become broodmares for Ted Davis' Windcrest Morgans. They gave substance & good legs to the Ben Don get.
