This was the cover of this issue. The description follows:
"Gladys Brown..., well known sculptress and artist of horses, dogs & livestock, recently made the pencil study of an ideal Morgan stallion which appears on the cover. She based this on a composite of the leading stallions of the West Coast, choosing the most impressive characteristics of several Morgan sires and combining them in a manner to represent her conception of an ideal Morgan."

Moro Hills Gay Ethan TMH 3-67
(Dyberry Ethan x Lippitt Gay Locket)
Sire of 50 get, some in the midwest, most in Calif.
Successful show horse & family friend.
Foundation
Although I never saw him as he died before I got into Morgans, I did see many of his get & grandget. In a way, he was a foundation stallion for me as our first 3 mare went to him (2 were granddaughters & one was a double granddaughter).
